*dreamy sigh* Rakes are wonderful.
Just a quick update to let you all know that Julia is hopefully coming... soon. We set this up with her and now the email addy we have isn't working so we can't get her the link. We're working on it, though, so we're going to shoot for next week.
Thanks for your patience.

I'm nice that way.
I'll email her and see if I can coax her this way.
For the record, I've decided weeklies are my least favorite online read. You have to wait too long for the next installment. It's killing me, I tell you, killing me!

Ruth, that sounds really cool. I love researching stuff like that, although to be very honest, I love history so much, I'd never stop researching. Which is probably why you won't see a historical come out of these fingertips. I'd lose myself in the research, never to be found again!
Vicki, my books came yesterday too. I'm so excited to dig in. Unfortunately, I have a busy week so I have no idea when I'm going to get to read them. Once I start, I won't be able to start. Maybe this weekend. I hope. One of my LI author friends is going to be visiting us for the weekend, and then I found out an LIS author is also going to be in town, so I'm hearing rumors of a get-together. I'm thinking I'll be losing my reading time. But that's okay, good friends are just as important as good books.
- 01/16/2008 - 17:32Oooh, that's a good one. I'd love to see some sort of girlfriends/sisterhood type book. I love those stories. My girlfriends are amazing, and I love celebrating those friendships.

And yes! How awesome that we all gather in the prayer room.
Another thing that works really well is the "favorites" function. At the top of each page of a thread is a button that says "add to favorites" that you can click on. When you do that, it adds to your favorites, and then on the side menu, if you click on My favorites, you'll see all your favorite threads, and it shows which ones have new posts. Oh, my dream come true!

Really cool stuff. And a great historical perspective. I so appreciate how well you research those historical details.
Re: Scheduling. I'm not Melissa, but I have limited access to some of that info, and based on what I have seen, 2008 is booked. And wow, what a lineup! I'm very excited.
- 01/16/2008 - 17:18Debbie! So fabulous to see you. Spell check is still in the works.
So... whatcha writing? When do we get to see it? Tell us all the important stuff. Oh, and what's for dessert?

I live about 45 minutes from Castle Rock, so all you Colorado bound folks need to give me a shout and we can meet up next time you're in the area.
There's a certain LI author who's going to be here this weekend and I'm SO excited!
Speaking of excited, wow, Ruth, the book sounds awesome! And the cover is delectable!

Lots of twists and turns! I love books that do that. I'm also excited about the redemption element. I love those stories.

We're working hard to get things ironed out, and we appreciate your patience!
We don't have Mr. eyeroll, but look, how can you resist Mr. Moneymouth?
He can come to my house anytime!
