- Nikki~Best of luck01/16/2008 - 16:57Nikki~Best of luck with getting the position you want and the move. I don't blame you a bit. I'd be miserable without my family, too. Sometimes I think I'm TOO close to them but I'd be lost without them. It's great that you at least had the courage to try something different for a while. (((hugs)))

LOL on the frozen tatas. Too funny, ya'll.
Ya'll are all doing so great. Puts me to shame.
Sara~Glad you're enjoying that dvd. Hope you get to renew it for a while.
Amina~I'm jealous. I want pizza.
I had a chicken breast (boneless/skinless) in bbq sauce and corn for lunch. Not bad. I did have an Asiago bagel at break earlier, though. *sigh*
(whatever happened to the eyeroll smiley? I miss that one!)

I guess I'm just going to have to watch that movie. I ended up loving Pride and Predjudice--not as much as you, but I love it. So I'll probably enjoy this one, too. LOL
Glad you found us, chica.

Amina~When you're first starting out, sometimes it's necessary to take little breaks during the workout. It doesn't lessen the quality of the workout by much and it helps you build your stamina. I think you're doing great!
Sara~That sounds like an awesome goal. I may try to lose 5lbs by my birthday in March. LOL And be brave...crack the seal on the Carmen Electra DVD. It may actually be something fun and not as racey as we imagine.
I can't remember who all I wanted to comment on but sounds like everyone's on track and doing well. I'm mostly still on track. This is a tough week on me with TOM but I'm fighting it. Had an impulsive chocolate moment last night at the grocery store and came across the new 100 calorie candy bars. I figured they'd be unsatisfying like the miniture bars but I tried a 3 Muskateer's bar anyway. It actually hit the spot just right. It's made to look like a regular bar but just a bit skinnier so you think you're getting a good bit of candy. Will promise not to make it a regular habit, though. But now and then it won't kill me, right? I also bought some carrot chips and some fat free dip. Carrots balance out chocolate, right? hehehehe

Amina~Yay! on the live-in's moving out! I know you're thrilled. Doesn't sound mean at all.
Pet~Uh, yeah. I'd offer to help but by the time I hopped a plane to SoCal you'd be done with it. Guess that would leave more time for fun, though, right? hehehehe
Liv~When I first came on this morning everyone's pics had reverted to their old ones. Yesterday they were fine. Weird. Great pic of you btw. Nice to SEE you.
I'm going to be a busy bee this weekend. Already gearing up for it. We're giving my grandparents a 50th anniversary party Sunday. My mother's doing most of the planning and stuff but we (sisters and I) get to do a lot of the actual work on it Friday (if I can get off work) and Saturday. I have to *gasp* cook! Ugh! LOL And I'm singing. I don't know which I'm dreading more. I love to sing...so long as it's in my living room or car and the pup is my only audience!

Excellent posts, Pet, Liv and Nikki! Hope Nikki and Firefly are both okay. Looking forward to more.
Poor Taj, too.
Pet~I've had several days off so go enjoy yours. hehe
Amina~I think you did and you're welcome.
I'm working on a few things but not sure how I'm liking it yet. We'll see. hehehehe
- 01/14/2008 - 16:34Amina~Yeah, we have an entire fitness center on campus but...Ugh! No thank you. Firstly, it's expensive even with the staff discount and secondly I do NOT want to have all THIS wobbling and sweating in front of all those hard bodied college kids. Uh-uh. If I could afford it, I might would join the wellness connection (the fitness center at the hospital) and do water aerobics but it's fairly expensive, too.

Sapphire felt his eyes on her again though she couldn’t pinpoint from where. Spying on her again, huh? She chortled and shook her head.
Don’t look for him, she commanded herself though it took every ounce of willpower she possessed to keep from doing just that. Heath Bodaway was hiding somewhere and her eyes begged desperately to seek him out.
Sipping her lemonade, she admired the pond the men had been working on. It was shaping up quite nicely. Once the water was filled and the fish added this would likely become one of her favorite spots. She could picture the lazy afternoons sitting on a blanket here with the boys surrounding her, drinking lemonade as she was now, Heath snuggled up beside her. She jerked herself from the daydream she’d conjured and mentally slapped herself. No Heath. Heath was not in the picture, she shook her head.
“You don’t like it?” Blake’s voice broke into her thoughts. Jerking her gaze up from the pond, she looked from Blake to Enzo and back. She giggled at her faux pas.
“Sorry, I was off in LaLa Land already planning picnics for the boys. Of course I love it. It’s lovely.”
Blake relaxed on his heels and grinned. “Whew, that was a close one. Picnic’s huh?”
Smiling, she nodded. “Yeah, it’s a lovely spot though I can just picture the trouble I’ll have keeping these two,” she reached over the twin Enzo held and tickled his belly, “out of the water and away from the fish.”
“What is fish?” she heard Walker’s voice in her head and she winked at him before leaning over to brush a kiss to his cheek to whisper, “Later.” He kicked his feet and patted her face excitedly.
“Smart baby, to appreciate kiss from beautiful woman,” Enzo praised the baby, misinterpreting the baby’s reaction. Sapphire merely laughed and patted Enzo’s arm. The intense feeling of something not entirely great shot towards her from the direction she sensed Heath’s presence. What was that about? She wondered and glanced quickly over her shoulder. Of course she couldn’t see him. He was smart enough to keep himself well hidden but she sensed him, his eyes on her in what almost felt like—dare she say—hunger?
“You are well?” Enzo asked quietly after a moment.
Smiling reassurance, she nodded. “Of course. Just a—thought I saw something over the hill there. Probably just a rat,” she waved her hand dismissively thinking the description suited quite nicely. Who else but a rat would continually spy on her?
- 01/14/2008 - 15:33Heath slowed the cruiser to a slow stop on the hillside above the HoneyMoon Ranch, just as he had the night before. With his binoculars in hand, he trekked over to the edge to take a look into the house, just betting that Sapphire had the windows all the way open again.
Sure enough, she did. Only, she and the boys weren’t in their usual spot in the corner of the living room.
Soft laughter called through the air alongside that of men talking and laughing it up too. It sounded like it was coming from the back of the property and he knew he’d never get a good look from this angle, since it only offered the view into the front of the house. Fuming a bit, and really wanting to know who was doing all that laughing, he went ahead and followed the hillside toward the back view of the house and hoped that no one from Blake’s spread was out far enough on this side to see him.
The last thing he’d want to do is answer questions about why he might be spying on his brother’s nanny.
Finally, the backyard came into view and so did the barn, Sapphire’s little garden and everyone standing in the grass. Sapphire had the boys in their stroller while she stood close to what looked like two Blake’s. Enzo, he guessed, watching the Blake he was certain was Blake take off his hat to wipe the sweat off his brow. The one he guessed was Enzo said something to Sapphire and they both started laughing again.
Heath’s hackles went up and he set the binoculars to his eyes to see for sure. One thing he knew was that Blake was true to Jana. If he were the one yucking it up with Sapphire, there’d be nothing to worry about.
Dang it all to heck, she’s laughing with Enzo!
Heath gritted his teeth and the sight of Enzo whispering to her again and Sapphire slapping her hand over her mouth.
Could it be?
Enzo?
Blake walked over and picked up one of the boys, swinging him in the air and bouncing him around.
Heath focused on Enzo leaning closer to Sapphire. Dang, fancy Italian Hunter, he started to mutter. “Get back from my girl,” he wanted to yell at him. Wouldn’t mind tossing a few rocks either.
But Sapphire continued to laugh with him, shaking her head and pouring more…what was that? Lemonade? She made him lemonade?
The lemons swinging around in the pitcher told him it was fresh made too.
Dang it! Dang it! Dang it!
Winning her from some slick fast talker from around Harley County was one thing. But stealing her from Enzo Fancy Pants and his accent that made all the girls swoon?
H3ll!
Enzo moved away from her to take off his shirt. Oh yeah, that’s right, show her how scrawny you are.
The shirt went sailing toward the porch and Heath nearly bit his tongue to see the hardened planes of his former friend’s and newest rival’s back and chest. Where the h3ll was he hiding those?
Heath patted his softer chest and grumbled. Fine. I’ll just have to do a few more sit ups and push ups. I can do that.
Enzo then picked up the other baby and started playing with him.
Sapphire started pointing at something and Heath spotted the pond that wasn’t there the other day. So that’s why they were there. He sighed. All he did was build her a box. Enzo put up a danged pond with a bunch of plants. There was no water in it yet, but it didn’t take much imagination to see that it would be beautiful.
“I’m just going to have to get more creative,” he grumbled. “A lot more creative.”
Sapphire laughed, her whole face turning red. The twins joined her.
Heath glared at Enzo’s back. “Enzo, much as I like you, you’re dead meat.”
He pulled away from the hillside and started back to his car. This was going to take a lot more planning.

Amina~Yeah, I miss those features, too. I hate that it doesn't take you back to the newest posts after you post. I missed yours this morning because of that. It's just really annoying.
Gigi~I've been thinking about bangs but they usually end up being more trouble than anything. Plus, they make me look to be around 12. Bet yours are cute, though. You could share a pic, yanno. hehehehe
