So there's no way to post a pic just from your desktop? What if you can't upload it anywhere?

Thanks for taking such care with fixes -- the new forums are a riot -- would hate to see it all go kablooie.

Now if I can just figure out how to load some images from my desktop! LOL

On my lap, on the sofa. ;) Or, if I go out to a coffee shop, or something, I bring my Axim and my little portable keyboard, and work there. We have an office and two desks, and sometimes dh uses them, but all of our computers are portable. We haven't had a desktop in so long that when SIL came over to have her fixed, we didn't have a monitor to attach to it! LOL

Job stuff can really throw you for a loop...I hope things get better fast.

When I want to escape, I'll turn to television and blank out on mind candy for hours at a time, and if I *really* want to escape and can, I like to literally leave and go on a vacation, get out, get away, even if for a weekend. Reading can be an escape, but it's also part of my work world, so really escaping usually means something really different, tuning out... LOL

about Europeans being more laid back about spicy things -- I think that's true on TV and such as well, from what friends who've lived in other countries have told me. Far less concern about all that, which I think is good. Wish we could get to that point, and less censorship on TV, etc. Would make for better, more interesting programming, less "vanilla."

You can pick up an e-reader very reasonably on eBay, where I got my Axim new in the box, but after the retailer had discontinued it, so I picked it up for 1/3 the original price, which was nifty. Though I also do email, write, etc on it.

I'm buying my first non-Harleuin e-book today at another e-book site, Wendy Roberts' Remains of the Dead. She was on Cigars, and was lovely, but I love that title and can't wait to read the book, and see how downloading elsewhere works... it's been so easy here -- maybe too much so! LOL

Here, I'll even provide rationale: if you get a PDA, like an Axim, you can use it to write as well as read, so you don't have to feel completely like a slacker, LOL. Guilt-free. ;)

I've never been one to hide the covers of my books, I don't really care what others think of my reading, but I will say it's easier at the gym, or the dr's office or whatever to read a Spicy book with naked people on the cover with an ereader, LOL.

I'm just really thrilled people liked the book, and I'm really happy it did well in print and ebook -- do you read eBooks?

Does Harlequin let you know those are out there, or send you copies just like books?

Happy New Year too you, too.
