Well now,  I found this

Well now,  I found this thread.  Trying to get to the daily discussion , but my screen is bouncing around.  Not sure what is going on, but will try again later.

How about I help you out?

The link to it is messed up on the read for some reason, but here's a good link to that discussion.

links

Umm… Dream… that second link takes me to Megan Hart's SPICE read, which is about as far from Love Inspired as you can get.

Mothers

I hate the way his mother is such a snob.  I think I'm going to have to wait until the story has been told entirely to read it, since drips and drops will be torture.

Thanks Dream  Good thing I

Thanks DreamSmile  Good thing I had bookmarked this page because the link at teh bottom of the chapter doesn't work!

Wonder if Lanna will show up for the party.  I don't like his snobby mother either.  Wonder if she had something to do with his letters not getting to Lanna

Exactly the same thought I

Exactly the same thought I had Papaya!

Waving Dream!

This is such a sweet story!

I am enjoying this so much!  I agree with Papaya and Sally.  I think his mother had something to do with the letters.  Of course, they did have to move, too, so maybe that played a role also.

Hugs,
April

You can do anything if you put your mind to it.... but it won't go far without the rest of your body.

Whoa, what a hook!

Am I just getting cynical in my old age, or does anyone else think his mother will do something mean because of the ball? I wonder what she has against Lanna, but it's pretty clear she's not so innocently steering Joe away.

FF, no worries, we're all in this together, trying to help each other out. Smile

Great to see you, Sally and April! How's life?

Definitely agree on the letters.

I agree... Mom's not innocent!

I agree...  Mom's not innocent!  She's deviously plotting against Lanna and Joe.  I hope he's smart enough to ignore her attempts.

Dream, things are good.  Busy as always, but good.  I start my 2nd semester of school Monday.  So glad this is only a 1 year program!!!!  I never thought I'd go back after I graduated from UT-K, but I guess it's another case of 'never say never'!  How are things with you and yours?

Hugs,
April

Busy, busy!

You know me, can't sit still if I tried. Tax season is starting, so they're keeping me busy with that. We bought a new house this summer, and we're still unpacking. Kiddos are growing like crazy, but they have a tendency to do that. Smile

School sounds like fun, what are you studying?

Dream... boldly going where no hosty has gone before.

School

The course is for sleep study technologist.  It's been rough, doing that full time and werking part time.  I start clinicals in mid-March, which makes me a wee bit nervous.

Glad to hear everything is going well your way!

April

This is the first book I've read in serial format!

This is the first book I've read in serial format! I can't decide if I like it or not. The waiting... the wondering... but think how it prolongs the enjoyment!

Last year when I read A Tale of Two Cities and learned that it was originally published in serial format, I happily envisioned families sitting around of an evening eagerly listening to the book as it was read out loud. Then the commotion in the community during the week as all spectulated on what would happen next to their favorite characters. Well, now I get a little better glimpse of the TORTURE those poor people had to live through waiting for the next installemnt!

I agree the mother is Nasty! How can someone with a nasty mother turn out a gentleman? Perhaps we need to see something of the father to understand. Hmmm...

Do you think she will get to the ball? What will she wear? Hmmm...

Friday? I have to wait until Friday? (sigh)

Blessings,

Jillian Hart

I love Jillian Hart's Historicals, so I'm really looking forward to getting her LI Historical.  I find myself getting emotionally invested in her characters and her books easily become keepers.

This online read is no exception.  I hate the wait between chapters, but I'm loving the story.  Do you think the author will join us here, Dreamy?

Marcy

I can always check...

I'm nice that way. Innocent I'll email her and see if I can coax her this way.

For the record, I've decided weeklies are my least favorite online read. You have to wait too long for the next installment. It's killing me, I tell you, killing me!

Dream... boldly going where no hosty has gone before.

Nice Dreamy

You're always nice, Dreamy.  It's part of why you're so beloved around here.
