This is my first time posting in this thread, I think, so forgive me if I'm asking redundant info, but:
Can you explain what the current release schedule is for the Luna portion of the reader service? I know it went to every other month, and that we don't get hardbacks, but:
I just got July's book (The Fire Opal) along with the January Alex Archer book, so I'm sort of confused. I'm pretty sure Heart of Stone (the November book) was on one of the 'not sending shipment' months, so I wasn't expecting that one.
But: if this is my January shipment, why was I not sent the January Luna? And if it's not, and it's to make up for ...something? What is it making up for?
Color me confused.

I'm a little confused myself, to be honest! You should have received notice in your last shipment that the Reader Service program for LUNA was discontinued as of November 2007 - so I'm not sure how you got a recent shipment (unless it was a very delayed Nov shipment?).
I think your best bet is to contact Customer Service directly to inquire about your account.

...... I put books in my cart on the weekend and they've disappeared ...... how long are they supposed to stay there? .... I was signed in when I added them, and I signed in again now to go see which ones I had put it in ... but the cart is empty
.... could this have something to do with having eHarl open in more than one window? ..... I often have the eHarl store open in one window and the eHarl community in another ..... maybe this is confusing the system and clearing out my cart? ....... just a thought

disappearing baskets
This happened to me yesterday, but when I clicked on Shop and logged
in, they found them for me, and then they disappeared again at a later
stage
I keep a note of things in my basket, so it's an easy matter to put them back
Don't
forget if you head to checkout and then click back on the shopping cart
rather than checking out, it's better able to remember them

I usually do that --- go to checkout etc --- mostly because I want to make sure the discount code is working! LOL .......... but no this is a problem that keeps happening from time to time ......
thank fully I have a Wish List and nothing gets crossed off it until it's been "confirmed" as being bought! LOL ...
that's one thing that would be really really nice, Eleanor, a Wish List to keep track of what we'd still want to purchase from eHarl ..... someday? maybe?

I gotta say - I'm perplexed. We've done everything we can think of to stop the items from dissapearing from your cart (we just installed a new system in December to hopefully eradicate the problem completely).
I've forwarded your comments to our Tech Lead to see what he thinks. I'll let you know what he says...
EDIT: Ok, he got back to me, and this is what he said:
If there is more than one computer is used or more than one browser is used, it could happen depends on what the steps are.
If we have more detail about the steps for adding and removing books, we might able to explain why that happens.
So....it sounds like it probably has something to do with multiple open browsers at the same time. If it happens again, let me know the steps (i.e. what you did in which order) and we'll see if we can get to the bottom of it.

I can do that ...... I do use more than one computer and I love to use more than one window when I'm surfing and ordering here at eHarl ..... often I'll read book reviews in one window and have the shopping pages open in another window .... that way I can add books to the cart as I come across a book review that has enticed me .......
I will jot down my process and see if it repeats

I was wondering if there's any hint anywhere about the Canadian pricing? .... surely, it's time to bring that inline now to the US? .... I think the value now is about par .... at least allow online for Canadians to purchase their books in US dollars (my credit card will convert, and I don't mind the small fee they charge for the coversion, it's still a huge savings) .....
I know, this has been mentioned before .... just thinking it could bare mention again ....... new site, new year, and all
