You Can't Hide by Karen Rose, Warner 2006

If you have read my blogs last year you know I have become a Karen Rose fan.  This woman knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat, turning pages to see what is going to happen next!

You Can't Hide is about psychiatrist Tess Ciccotelli, sometimes known as Dr. Chick!  Many of the cops at Chicago Police Department hate her as she testified in a case that kept a killer out of prison.  No one wanted to believe he was really insane after he brutally killed three little girls and a cop.  Due to this fact most of the cops at CPD had a hard time believing that Tess was not somehow responsible when her patients start committing suicide or apparent suicide.  Luckily for Tess, Detective Aidan Reagan is assigned to the case with his partner Todd Murphy.  Todd knows Tess which makes it hard for him to believe she is involved in the death of people she is treating.

This book is filled with suspense, tension between Tess & Aidan, horror at the cruelty of someone systematically ruining Tess' life or trying to ruin it.  If you like suspense with a good romance thrown in I highly recommend trying one of Karen's books.  They might chill you with horror and at the same time keeping you fascinated with how well she weaves a story.

Love this author and this book and the one about her brother also.  I believe I blogged both.  Glad you enjoyed it. She writes a good story. Glad to see you back.

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!

Hi Jeannie,

Thanks for stopping by.  With all the new of learning the site I can't seem to find my way to comments on my reviews!  I thought it showed up somewhere with just comments listed but I don't seem to be going to the right link!  That probably made no sense!

I've been here for a long time so will be logging off to get necessary things done, laundry, lunch, cleaning the bathroom, etc.! Smile

Enjoy the weekend.

P.S. just found the right link or way to get to the comments!!!

Take care, happy reading,
Donna M

Love KR too!

Hi Donna,

I'm a big fan of KR's and am anxiously awaiting her new release in May.  I loved this one and last one about her brother, Die for Me.  well, actually I loved them all....

There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; the pleasure is having lots to do and not doing it.

Okay, I'll bite

I've never read one of her books.  If I were to put one on my Amazon.com wish list, which would you recommend?  You've all got me sold on giving her a shot!

Hi Donna

I have been seeing this author mentioned so many times but I have not read a blub or review about her. At least I can't remember. . . but this sounds so good. I want to check her out so I am going to put a hold on this at the library if they have it. If not, is there another of her books you recommend?

I recently discovered that if you click on My Blog, to the right of your profile page, it will say how many new comments there are. It is the button on the top of the list and under it is Create Content.

Also, I don't know if you know but I am trying to share with everyone because I did not know . . .

When you comment somewhere on another persons blog or in a forum, you should add that discussion to My Favorites. Then, when you are in your profile page, you can go to the button, at the right, called My favorites. It is listed above the My friends button. You will be able to see all the places that you added to favorites and it will tell you if there is a new comment. I love this feature. I was going crazy without it. I am now saving every place that I comment in the my favorites so I can see if there are new posts there.

See you around.

Books! Karen Rose

Lori B. & Margie,  Karen Rose has written several books that are loosely connected.  Some of the characters reappear in other books.  I started with the first one, they tend to be somewhat explicit with descriptions that may be difficult for some people to read.  #1 is Don't Tell, #2 Have You Seen Her?, #3 I'm Watching You, #4 Nothing To Fear, #5 You Can't Hide, #6 Count To Ten, #7 Die For Me.  Her website has an excellent chart of the books & the connected characters.  I think each book would stand alone but I think the first one is a good taste of her writing & how graphic she is with descriptions of crimes.  I have read 1 through 5 & I have #'s 6 & 7.  The next one isn't out yet.

Margie, I have figured out Favorites, Buddylist & a few other things.  The problems is remembering everything when I come back!!! Surprised  It is just that it is not all real familar yet.  It will get better & better the more I use the site. Thanks for the help.

I hope you have all had a good weekend.

Take care, happy reading,
Donna M

Hi Donna

Thanks for the list. I will look for the first book. I am not bothered by grizzly descriptions so that should be fine. I'm looking forward to trying this author.

Karen Rose

I love her books and I do believe I came across her books by accident.  You Can't Hide is one of my favorites by her and I can't wait until her new one comes out.  There are only one or two of her books that I haven't had a chance to read yet.
