Seaview Inn by Sherryl Woods is set on an island near Florida. It's the story of Hannah Matthews and her family.
Hannah isn't happy upon her return to Seaview Inn. She is a recent breast cancer survivor who has just lost her mother to the disease, and she's paralyzed with fear that the same will happen to her...death from a cancer that she thought she beat. Hannah has a very determined path in mind for herself and her family, and when they don't fall neatly in with her plans she's unsure what to do next.
Enter Luke Stevens who is also returning to Seaview after being away for a long time. Turmoil in his life has also brought Luke back looking for solace and a way to escape any major decisions.
These two people who have both been hurt and betrayed by love find an understanding and help one another heal. Will they be able to build a future together? That you'll have to discover for yourself when Seaview Inn becomes available.
I like Ms. Woods, and look forward to more by her. However Seaview Inn didn't stir my emotions as her previous titles have. I will say though that I was so touched by Firefly Lane, my previous read, that I'm not sure I would have been satisfied with anything I read next.
