#2 One for the Money by Janet Evanovich; Narrated by C.J. Critt
Stephanie Plum just lost her job, had her car repossesed and sold most of her furniture and appliances to pay rent. Needless to say she needed money. Fast!
Desperate she goes to her cousin Vinnie for a job as a Bounty Hunter. Nevermind the fact that Stephanie has never even handled a gun before. Her first case is to Apprehend Joe Morelli, a fugitive cop who allegedley shot and killed an unarmed man at point blank range. Morelli also happens to be the man that wrote intimate details about Stephanie on the bathroom wall when they were in high school leading Stephanie to run him over with her car thus breaking his leg. Needless to say there is no love loss between the two. In fact the last person Morelli is going to let have the $10,000 bounty is Stephanie Plum.
I really enjoyed this story. The narrator was excellent! The story was suspenseful and funny. In fact my husband didn't make me turn it off when I picked him up from work. He actually got interested and laughed a couple times.

I love this series and hope you enjoy the rest of the books. It gets even better as the stories progress. I have not traveled into audio book land yet.... possibly later in the year.

Stephanie Plum
I love the Stephanie Plum books. When I read the first one I laughed so hard I cried. My husband looked at me like I had lost my mind. But, I haven't been able to resist a Janet Evanovich book since

Stephanie Plum
I've heard great things about Janet Evanovich and Stephanie Plum before but I had never tried them. Now I know what all the comotion was about: I loved it. I have already ordered the second one from the library.
The Narrator is really great. Each voice is unique. She is my favorite narrator so far. I actually just discovered books on tape. I listen on my way to and from work. I get to listen to books that I probably wouldn't have made the time to read. So that is a big plus!
