As the series continues I get more and more driven to finish the series… too bad that the weekend’s over and it’s back to little kids running around. But I’ll be sneaking in a chapter here, a page there as the day allows ~ and as much as I’m looking forward to finishing these six stories, I’m going to be a little dismayed as well. Ah, the joys of reading!

SYNOPSIS:
Lieutenant Althea (Thea) Grayson has been a detective on the Denver Police Force for a number of years. Her partner, Boyd Fletcher, is now Captain of the department and she’s happy working alone. But the new guy in town has already caused her nice, regular world to be upended ~ she just wishes that she didn’t find him so attractive.
Colt Nightshade is in town to look for the daughter of good friends ~ he’s always been the kind of guy that goes with the flow, easy-going and multi-talented. His childhood friend, cop Boyd Fletcher, is his contact on his latest investigation ~ and the detective that he’s been partnered with takes his breath away.
But with a young girl missing and some nasty movies being made, Thea and Colt have a lot more to worry about than the sparks that fly whenever they’re in close proximity. And rules, order and calm have flown out the window.
MY NOTES:
Again, I love the connections between these stories in the Night series. And in each subsequent chapter, we catch up with those whose stories have come before. I was really glad that Althea got a story of her own ~ and Colt is just the guy for her! Although she’s nowhere sure of that at the beginning, she can’t help but follow on this rollercoaster ride. As their attraction grows and a life-changing relationship develops, the changes that both of them go through ring true. Nora Roberts has created characters that live on in the imagination and the stories are so engaging, they’re nigh impossible to put down.
