I am so enjoying these books ~ and once again I wonder why it took me so long to read them. *shrug* Ah well, I get to enjoy them now, that’s all the counts. The next story is Allison Fletcher’s… Boyd and Cilla’s little girl is all grown up now… and I am very much looking forward to getting to it. Lots of excellent story-telling left to enjoy!
BOOK READ:
Nora Roberts; Night Smoke; Silhouette Special Release; 2005 (original release 1994)
SYNOPSIS:
Natalie Fletcher is the CEO of Fletcher Enterprises and getting ready for a new company launch… as long as the arsonist that has targeted her business can be reined in. Otherwise, the company will be dead in the water before it can even get a start.
Ryan (Ry) Piasecki is the arson investigator for the Urbana FD. He’s one of the best, but he’s also abrasive, arrogant and… wildly attractive!
Neither Natalie nor Ryan is anywhere near prepared for the conflagration between them upon their first meeting. Now Ryan’s concerned that he gets the arsonist before he and Natalie go up in flames.
MY NOTES:
I love the continuation in this series: Natalie is the younger sister of Boyd Fletcher from the first story… and there are plenty of visits from the characters from all three previous books ~ Perfect!!
Natalie and Ryan are far more alike than either knows; both have strong personalities and a need to be in control. They’re also very good at what they do ~ and when they’re falling in love, well good thing that Ryan’s got a background in fire fighting! The mystery of just who it is that’s behind the arson kept me guessing until the end.

My goal in life is to survive. Everything else is just a bonus.
Oh I loved this story!
It was such a great hero name, too -- you never see Polish heroes, and it was just a great story. I wish I'd kept the trilogy -- I miss it now. Those earlier Noras were really my favorites...did you read the one with the comic book artist? I can't recall the title, but those were just great. :)

Nora Roberts...
Karen, I'm really, really new to her; I didn't read my first NR book until the challenge last year. But I'm really enjoying the stories that I've read.
Sam, you're so right... Polish names just don't abound in print. The story with the comic book artist sounds sooo familiar, but I'm really drawing a blank.
Thank you both for stopping by!

Isn't the Comic Book Artist
Isn't the Comic Book Artist one - Local Hero. That's the one where the h is a banker and he does the comics. Single mom, etc.
