Doctor in Her House--Amy Knupp

Amy Knupp's book, Doctor in Her House, was a refreshing read. Noah and Katie are individuals with unique outlooks on life. I like the little twists Amy gave each character so they stayed fresh throughout the book.

One of the things I especially liked about Doctor in Her House was seeing these characters work on their conflicts in the midst of loving family. Noah's relationship with his parents was especially sweet and fresh. Sometimes being around family makes things easier and sometimes it makes things more complicated. Amy Knupp clearly knows the complexities of loving difficult people--I'm glad I got to spend time with her characters.

I laughed out loud several times as I was reading. The humor in the dialogue and in the characters' observations and life and each other is terrific.

This was my first read from Amy Knupp. It won't be my last.
